Registered Vs. Unregistered Accounts
The only area of Surveying Zone you have to have a free account in order to participate in, is the Message Boards. For everything else, you can post with or without an account. If you choose to post without an account, you will need to have a valid email address.
The following areas can be posted to using only an email address:
- Jobs
- Resumes
- RFPs
- Events (shown on the calendar)
- Courses
- Selling equipment and software
When you choose one of these categories to post to, you will get a login screen that looks like this:
Login using the Username and Password or simply enter a valid email address to post without an account. If you use an email address, be on the lookout for your confirmation email that will look something like this:
You will need to follow the confirmation link listed in the email and be approved by a site admin before your post will appear online.
Keep in mind that with a free account you can easily view and manage your posts from the My Account area. The forms for posting when you are logged in will also auto-fill with as much information as is available to help save you time if you plan to post often.
